In a rain-affected weekend in Holland Callum maintained his lead in the GB3 Championship with 3 solid race finishes and scoring sufficient points to maintain a lead over his rivals.
Callum is honoured to announce he is one of the four finalists who will contest the 2023 Aston Martin Autosport BRDC Young Driver of the Year Award.
The Award aims to find and assist the best junior British racing drivers, and will include fitness and simulator tests before a two-day shoot-out at Silverstone in October.
Previous winners of the Award include 2009 F1 world champion Jenson Button, 13-time grand prix winner David Coulthard, current F1 drivers Lando Norris and George Russell, triple Indianapolis 500 winner Franchitti, and 2014 World Endurance champion Anthony Davidson.
Callum enjoyed an excellent weekend at Brands Hatch for Round 6 for the British GB3 series with a pole position, a win and a 2nd place allowing him to extend his lead in the Championship.
Callum enjoyed a solid round 2 of the 2023 GB3 Championship at Silverstone with a 3rd place podium, 4th and 6th place finishes, thus gaining valuable points and leaving him 2nd overall in the standings.
Callum is proud and flattered to announce his admission to the BRDC Superstars programme for 2023.
Created by former BRDC President Damon Hill OBE, and now in its second decade, the BRDC Superstars programme focuses on developing the most promising young British talent and sits alongside the Young Driver and Rising Stars categories. Limited to 12 drivers – of which Callum is the youngest – the programme has seen some of the most talented individuals perform in multiple series including WEC and F1.
Callum will line up for rebranded Rodin-Carlin as he takes on a GB3 Championship assault for the 2023 season. Callum had a fantastic debut single seater season in the British championship in 2022 and now looks to capitalise on his experience to challenge for the title. This year the championship travels to Zandvoort for the very first time alongside two further F1 grade circuits of Spa-Francorchamps and Silverstone.
